Weekly Objectives for 4/28/14 - 5/2/14

Overview - We will be covering a plethora of content over throughout this week.  On Monday, we will be working on our Trash Bots as a precursor to the upcoming Ag Botics challenge.  On Tuesday, the students are required to bring in a paper copy of their resumes.  The resumes will be updated to meet the needs of the careers being offered in the Ag Botic challenge.  On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the students will be taking the NYS Math Exams.  After the completion of each exam, the student will be given time to revise and edit their resumes.
        Monday -  4/28/14 - Students were entertained by Mrs. Durant, a radiologist technician, from Alice Hyde Medical Center.  She emphasized the importance of a quality education, with a strong focus on math and science.  After the presentation, we broke off into our Trash Bot groups.  Students were expected to create: an inventory sheet for parts, a written  function for the "Bot", a sketch of the physical appearance of the robot, and finally, a written explanation on how to assemble the robot.
        Tuesday - 4/29/14 - We began the day by making sure that all resumes were turned in.  Students were given  instruction on how to update their resume to meet the need of the upcoming project.  They were then given time to implement the revisions.
         Wednesday - 4/30/14 - NYS Math Exam.  We will continue to work on resumes and the "trash bots" as well.
         Thursday - 5/1/14 - NYS Math Exam.  The students will be working on the Trash Bot Project the remainder of the day.
         Friday - 5/2/14 - NYS Math Exam.  FINAL DAY OF TESTING!!!  The students will be working on the Trash Bot" project the remainder of the day.
