Weekly Objectives for 5/5/14 - 5/9/14

Overview - The NYS Exams have come to an end.  Our STEM program is now back on track and ready to start our newest project.  We will begin to research how robots are being utilized in the field of agriculture.  Students will be immersed in agricultural concepts that mesh with the newest technologies in the robotic's field.  While being introduced to the new and exciting content, the groups will continue to finalize their Trash Bot projects.  The final presentation for each group will be held on Wednesday.  
         Monday - 5/5/14 -  The STEM group was given a wonderful presentation by the Franklin County Emergency Response Dept.  John Bashaw and Jamie Gratton were gracious enough to volunteer their time and provide some wonderful information to our class.  They covered a wide degree of topics: fire response, 911 calls, flooding scenarios, hazmat situations, and many more.  Thank you once again.  After the presentation, our STEM students broke up into their Trash Bot groups to begin the final stages of the their project.  On Wednesday, the groups will provide a five minute presentation about the functionality of their robot and brief history of the robotics field.  They will be graded on six different aspects: Design, Participation, Research/Explanation/, Presentation, Effectiveness, and Self-Reflection.
